Is Jealousy Stupid-2?

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday’s blog was an introduction to today’s. For anyone who decided that they didn’t need to buckle up yesterday, you may want to do so today. It is going to be a very bumpy ride. This is what I mean.

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. I, like a lot of people, get that. But what a lot of people conveniently forget is that when their bodies look like complete crap they have no one to blame but themselves! I am serious.

If you read my blog, Celli, Stretchie? then you would know that I admitted to being genetically blessed and that I barely, rarely took that blessing for granted. So if your body looks like complete crap, and your over sized butt looks like half melted jelly sloshing around in a pair of, “grannie panties,” that are loosely holding your ass in place, I would like to remind you that you are fully responsible. I am serious.

Did someone pour pop down your throat for months or years on end? Probably not. Were you force fed crappy food while all of your limbs were duct taped to a chair to prevent you from exercising or preparing a decent meal? Again probably not. Exactly! I could go on but my time is valuable. Don’t get pissed at me because of the way I and others look. There are a lot of what people consider to be, “bigger girls,” out there whose butts and bodies are far from heading south! And their bodies are in better shape than mine!

Next!

We are all given opportunities in life. Some people choose to grab hold of those opportunities while others don’t. If I am given an opportunity I am going to grab it. If other people around me don’t want to, that is up to them. It is their choice. They chose not to. They made that conscious decision. That also means that they should take full responsibility for it. Unfortunately a small percentage of the population behaves that way.

Instead of telling themselves, “Yea, I probably should have …” or, “Next time I’ll …” they, in my experience, feel the need to cut those of us who grab opportunities down. And most times they aren’t even discreet about it either.

In the past I have heard people whisper, seen people roll their eyes and toss their heads. After witnessing their jealousy I think to myself, “Really? You were right there! All you had to do was …” Over the years, I have considered making some suggestions to jealous people but I always decide against it. The reason for this is that when people are jealous, their insecurity and low self-esteem prevents them from seeing past their eye lids. That prevents them from seeing the bigger picture. I am serious. All they see is, “Me, me, me! Poor me!” (Continue with the whining and the pity party for as long as it takes.) If you have time for any of the above well …. I don’t.

Actually I have zero tolerance for people who chose to be jealous of others. As I said in yesterday’s blog, in my opinion, people who are jealous are small minded. If I wanted to be around small minded people I would be, but I don’t so I am not. If someone has a problem with that, then I guess they have a lot of problems.

I have always believed that jealousy is stupid. But hey, we all make choices. If someone wants to be jealous that is up to them. Again, I could go on, but my time is valuable.
