Hi Everyone,
The other day, I decided to watch Bethenny. It is a talk show and, due to time-shifting, the same episode airs a few times a day. I like that. I also liked the episode. This is why.
Nancy Grace was on the other day and she has an interesting story. When Bethenny asked her what gets her worked up, Nancy asked, “Right now? It’s a judge’s decision ….” That pissed me off too and I blogged about it. (The link is at the bottom.) Another thing I could relate to was something else Nancy said. It was when she explained that now, as a mother of twins; she turns her brain off from all of the injustices in the world before she spends time with her children. (Both are cute.) I get that. We all need to turn off our brains. The lengths of time may vary though. But here’s the thing about thinking. I honestly believe some of us don’t do enough of it. I am serious.
Not only do some people get caught up in the all of the distractions in our lives, I don’t believe they always know it. I didn’t. Sadly, I am serious about that too. Just a few minutes ago, I was going to watch a comedy before I started this blog. But I didn’t.
I didn’t because with all the things going on, I needed to get this off my mind. I needed to write it out. Blogging keeps me sane when the supposed sane people are at their best, or worst. I’ll let you pick since you know who the supposed sane people in your life.
The comedy is something I borrowed from the library so who knows if I’ll watch it. I have a variety of things to read and do. All of them relate to what I’m working on, my dreams. I’ll have to do some thinking but it will be fun. It won’t seem like work. Dreams never do. Not working on your dreams does. You may not always think so, but for every day you don’t work on your dreams a little part of you dies. You begin to feel weaker. Things and people you liked gradually become unlikeable. Over time, if you allow it, you give up on your dreams. And the second that happens, you gave up your life!
The saying, “If you’re not working on your dreams, you’re working on someone else’s,” was created for a reason. Are you working on your dreams? If not, who or what are you allowing to stop you? And why are you allowing it? Think about that. Think about the things that make you happy, truly happy. Think about the little things that you could do to move you forward, if even in a small way. Now build on them. Stop with the distractions. They are not worth it, but you are!
All of the above is a rant. Just read between the lines, if you can’t find it.
