Hi Everyone,
I was on my last edit for another blog, but this one came about. This is what I mean.
Okay, just as the title states, I’m (Just) Tired of the BS and that is what this blog is about. And you know what, I (just) don’t care what anyone does or doesn’t think. I am serious.
As I have stated in past blogs, no one is getting any younger. If I know this, then why have I chosen to put up with the constant BS from one female (sic) for almost a year? Well, the answer is very simple. I like her boss a lot and have for years, you know well before she even came on the scene. I am telling you this because I had a funky conversation with them today.
After the niceties were out of the way and I asked them if they had a few minutes I started talking. “Yes, I get that no one wants to take responsibility. It happens all the time,” I said. Now I am nodding as I listen. “I know,” I said. Everything was going along well, until they suggested that I speak with their employee the next time I see them. The second they finished that sentence, I basically lost it, in a very civil manner, I might add. I am serious. I didn’t drop one F-Bomb, or raise my voice. I was as much 100% controlled anger as possible.
This was my reply. “Ah, no. She’s your employee. You hired her. She’s your problem, you figure it out. It’s not my place.” And of course, I was also thinking, “If I was good at confrontations, don’t you think I would have asked her if there was a problem between us before I called you? And maybe I would have spoken to you about this earlier?” Now that I think of it, I am pretty sure I did ask her if everything between us was okay in the middle of last year, to which she said yes. Of course she said that. What else is she going to say? “Ahh, no Anna, actually, now that I think of it, __________.” If her boss and she got along as well as they stated, then having a chat shouldn’t be problem. I would just keep in mind that some people act differently when they are with the person, or people who sign their present and future pay cheques then they are with the people who don’t. Funky conversations happen all the time.
Once her boss and I finished going around in our stupid little circles of nothingness, I said something like this, “Yea, if she can’t be civil to me for less than 2 minutes a week, and I am exaggerating about the 2 minutes a week, and she is only nice to me when ____……….., I’m not doing this anymore.” Who wants to be treated like an underling when there isn’t an audience, only to be treated well when there is an audience? I could go on, but life is short and so is my patience! I’ve had it with this female (sic). This is why.
If I wouldn’t stay in an abusive relationship of any kind, like emotionally, financially, physically abusive etc., I am certainly not going to put up with someone else’s constant BS. So what if I lose some, or a lot of work? Seriously? People leave abusive relationships every second of the day for a better quality of life. And as far as I am concerned, a business relationship is just as important as an emotional one. Money is very closely tied to our emotions. What is the worst that will happen? If I have to put up with someone else’s BS, it won’t be for as long as this! From now on, I am going to start calling people out the second I don’t like something. Just as a head’s up, I am quite confident that a lot of people won’t like some of my next blogs. I’m (just) tired of BS. A lot of us are.
Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
