Hi Everyone,

This blog is in response to a comment. This is why.

Most of the comments that my blog, and every other blog on the planet, receive are computer generated. Key words from the title and/or words within the blog are captured by a computer program and a generic computer generated comment is produced and sent to me and every other writer of blogs on the planet. Very few of the comments are in English. This is great if you want to explore new languages like German. It seems to be the most popular lately.

Since I read every comment and explore new languages, like German, I was relatively surprised to find a comment written in English. And the bonus was that it was longer than 10 words.

Here is what it says and what it looks like, (I put the text in italics to distinguish mine from his.)

Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working

with? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m

having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

How would you respond to this comment? Would you ask them what drew them to your blog? Which blog they liked the most and how often they read your blog? Do they use your RSS feed? Should you ask them which phrase they liked the best and why? Or would you just let the comment sit with all the other comments that you haven’t posted because they are computer generated?

I don’t know what you would do, yet I know what I am going to do. Outside of posting this blog, I am not going to do anything.

P.S. For anyone who is interested, I did post a blog in either May or June of 2015 stating that I would update my blog and have yet to do so.
