Hi Everyone,
On Thursday, November 15th, 2012 The Agenda with Steve Paikin on TVO had a discussion on poverty and how it affects everyone. As an information junkie, I have made a point of watching programs on this topic for over a decade. I also know people who have been and some who still are currently living in poverty.
If we, as a society, recognize the social economic repercussions of poverty in even the smallest of ways now, and begin to close the social distance between the rich and the poor all of our lives will improve. How? If we, as a society, do not start to help the poor help themselves now, we will end up spending more of our current and future tax dollars on health care, housing and education. But the list of their needs is getting longer as the number of people in Canada living in poverty is growing.
This important videos is 49:46 minutes in length yet it is worth the every second. Here is the link.

If you are fortunate enough to not be poor or part of the working poor chances are that you know someone who is but you may not know it. It is a secret society.
I hope that you watch this video. It is an eye-opener to some while a lifeless life fraught with struggle for others.
Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
