Hi Everyone,
With less than three months until the end of the year, the push to get organized is on. This is what I mean.
Overall, this year has been pretty good to me. I had four goals and I accomplished two of them about four weeks ago. The first was to be debt free. Paying every last digital cent wasn’t fun and getting there wasn’t always good, great or glamorous but I did it! Yeah for me and my credit score!! The second was to have a bit of money in the bank, just in case things didn’t go my way, you know. That was a bit easier. The third has been the hardest because I haven’t had a lot of time to cross it off my list. Decluttering, ditching, and donating are also difficult.
My Bachelorette is on the small side and living in Toronto doesn’t help either. This is the second area I have lived in that I call, Land of the Free. The first was the studio district. One street in particular always had something sitting on the sidewalk. I got some great books, piles of DVD box sets and just plain old DVD’s, a lamp with a compelling sign stating it was free and that it works, (it still works to this day), luggage which stores my seasonal clothing and sits under my bed, and Ikea furniture with all the instructions, a sign stating all the parts were there and carefully wrapped in clear plastic because it was raining. Okay my housemates got that one, but I found it. There is more but life is short. Where I live now takes, Land of the Free to a whole new level. Not only do I find all kinds of things, if I don’t use the things I find, then I give them to someone I know or donate them to a local charity. Sure all of that takes time but I eventually fit them into my day. I just drop things off as I do my errands.
What I can’t seem to fit in are large blocks of time to actually get some decluttering, ditching and donating done around my dwelling. Every few days one or more things leaves but it isn’t enough. So I have decided to take as much time in October as possible to get as much done as I can. And if I don’t get everything done, there is always November to tie up any loose ends. November 24th is the last day I am devoting to this. So if you don’t see me around, that is why. I don’t want to get this done, I need to get this done.
One thing I will say is it is easier for me to add things to My Bachelorette than it is subtract.
