Hi Everyone,
Big Brother has been in 42 countries for years and it FINALLY made it way to Canada. The first of two episodes was on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 and the second was on Thursday February 28, 2013.
I watched both episodes because I am a bit of a Big Brother fan. I usually start off watching the first few episodes of each season. If the cast, (because that is EXACTLY what they are) prove to be interesting enough to hold my attention for most of the show, then I will generally watch the whole season. I think that I’ve watched 3 of 13 whole seasons of the American version. But since I was made in Canada, I am making a point of watching all of the Big Brother Canada episodes.
There are a few reasons for this. First, the house, or set, because that is EXACTLY what it is is gorgeous! Awesome job Big Brother! The other reasons are that it is clearly a Canadian production and that is important for the Canadian economy and our advertisers. And well, it is ABOUT TIME that we had our own version of Big Brother! So what do I think so far?
Well, I am not sure what that one cast member is going to do with all of those baby wipes. So far this year I’ve watched two episodes of, My Strange Addiction, and on one of them, a woman used baby wipes to clean herself instead of bathing with water. I hope the female cast member who brought the baby wipes is going to shower. Sorry, I can’t remember her name.
Then there is at least one female cast member who doesn’t want to reveal her age. I get that. When I was her age I didn’t want to reveal my age either. Now I don’t care.
It is scientifically proven that we are only as old as we feel. If you feel like you are biologically 100, then your body, overtime, will actually physically become 100 years old regardless of your age. Age is just a number. There are 30 year olds who are in worse physical shape than 50 year olds.
Overall, I think it is going to be a good year. I am of the opinion that Big Brother Canada is trying to add as many plot twists as they can and make the show as interactive as possible. It is good to know that they, Big Brother, (BBCan from here on) is having the, “After Dark” for free.
That’s when all the showmances, bromances, flirtmances etc. truly take place. And it is when we get some behind the scenes of Big Brother alliances too. The “After Dark” episodes are on between 2-5 am Monday to Friday on Slice. I am not sure about the weekends because it just started.
If you want to check out BBCan you can watch it on the Slice channel. Since I am not 100% sure when all the episodes are going to be on, here is a link to their site,

Support Canada and Canadian productions because they are a HUGE and growing part of our economy.
Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
