Hi Everyone,
The other day I posted a blog titled, Opposite? ;D (here is the link, http://arebelsrant.com/opposite-d/). In it I mentioned the book, People Are Idiots And I Can Prove It! by Larry Winget. I also mentioned that it was a great book and I would reread it after I finished the book I was then reading.
I started it late last night and in it, Larry Winget states, The 10 Ways People Sabotage Themselves. (And no, I am not going to provide the list. However, you can buy the book or borrow it from someone just not me.) If I could add one more way that people sabotage themselves I would.
I am of the opinion that people sabotage themselves when they lie. This is why.
Lying, when it is not for a life or death situation, is a choice. Just as some people choose to lie, some also choose to go along with a lie when they decide to participate with the liar. In my opinion, both of those decisions directly affect a persons’ character in a negative way. I believe this because every one of our actions has a consequence.
Anyone can choose to change their character at anytime but they cannot change the fact that they told or participated in a lie. A lie follows you for the rest of your life.
An unknown author wrote a saying to define how a persons’ character is created. Here it is…
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your character and
Your character becomes your destiny!
I recommend, People Are Idiots And I Can Prove It! to those who can take it. This book is not for everyone. Larry will even warn you about reading his book in the first few pages. He is brutally honest. I like that, but I also know a lot of people who don’t. Life can be cruel and the truth can hurt.
