Hi Everyone,
This week I learned about a TV show called Dust Up. It is about a family business of crop dusting and it is filmed in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have to tell you, it is pretty interesting. Crop dusting isn’t something I think about on a daily basis, BUT flying is! And that is what has me hooked. 😀
There are some pretty interesting flying maneuvers in that show. I now have a new appreciation for flying and the crop dusters who literally risk their lives to ensure that all of the farmers needs are met for the crops that feed us, here in Canada and all over the world.
The first season was filmed in 2011 and a second season is on its way. This show has gained international popularity because it is great! The family members, who make up most of the cast are real and so is the family drama. I know that the vast majority of reality shows are scripted but when it comes to family, emotions can run high.
From what I saw of Dust Up, no one could have scripted what happened in season one. That includes, Shannon Jardine. Not only is she one of the producers of the show, she is also part of the family that this show revolves around.
But as we all know, when it comes to family we should always expect the unexpected. You can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family! Sometimes the blood lines that tie us together have a way of boiling and spilling over into the lives of others.

I highly recommend that everyone check them both out! It’s not every day that we get the inside scoop of farming.
Thank you for reading A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
