A. Rebel's Rant

Hi Everyone,

Say Hey! ;D I have finally finished ALL the updates to A. Rebel’s Rant, the blog you are currently reading! And WOW!!! What a lot of work! As I have mentioned in a past blog, (here’s the link, http://arebelsrant.com/revamping-the-blog-update-d/ ) when I began blogging, I was, well, CLUELESS!!! A lot has changed since then. One of the first things that I added to my blog was Twitter. That for me was HUGE! But I didn’t stop there. Sometime later I added an RSS feed. For anyone who doesn’t know, an RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. That means that anyone can subscribe to my blog free of charge at any time to see what I wrote. Overall, I would have to say that those two updates were the easiest of all.

The most difficult and most time consuming had me sitting on my butt for upwards of 10 hours a day SEVEN days a week for over a week! Honestly, I can’t remember how long everything took me but it was TOO LONG!!! My bottom was so sore from sitting on my (crappy) computer chair that I stood up while eating dinner for over a week! In fact, I stood up every chance I could and only sat when I was (chained) to my desk.

It got to the point that if I wanted to read anything, I had to lie on my stomach because I just couldn’t take another moment of discomfort for another second. I even started telling people that my butt was starting to become as flat as a pancake. It was that bad! Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!! Actually, I love all the changes that I did. The ones you do and don’t see.  ;D

Sure some of the tutorials were a bit confusing at first. I mean, I had to learn a whole new lingo, jargon, for everything. Twitter was a breeze, ONLY after I read, How to Twitter for Business Success, by Nicky Kriel. That book taught me a lot, and I use it as a reference ALL the time! Thank you Nicky, you for keeping everything simple! You saved me from wasting a lot of time and a lot of frustrations! So now that the updates have been done, I have to say that I am very happy. Granted there are some things that I have NO control over, but I have to admit I like, LOVE the end result! All of the hours that I invested into updating A. Rebel’s Rant were worth every second and I would do it again in a HALF a HEART beat!

Now that I have finished with the updates, I can move on to other things, which are BEYOND LATE. That is what happens when life as I know it gets in the way. If you don’t know what I mean, here’s a link for a blog on that topic, http://arebelsrant.com/what-is-mercury-retrograde/
