Hi Everyone,
If anyone who reads my blog was shocked when I mentioned that I LOVE Eminem in my blog titled, I Am.., on April 11, 2013, well, buckle up because I still love punk music. (Here is the link, http://arebelsrant.com/i-am/ )
My gradual love of punk music began with a boyfriend. He was into all kinds of music and punk was one. He used to BLARE it all the time whether I wanted him to or not. One way for him to convince me to listen to and enjoy punk was to tell me of the love story between Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols and Nancy Spungen. And so my love for punk and all other types of music began.
As soon as I could get my hands on a book about the relationship between Sid Vicious and Nancy, I did and read it non-stop. I have even watched the movie, titled, Sid and Nancy: Love Kills, at least once.
If you haven’t read any books on the relationship between Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen, or watched the movie, I highly recommend it. Both are a real opener in more ways than one. I can’t remember which book I read, sorry. It was a long time ago.
That was then and this is now. Punk music is still alive and well. In fact, I came across a punk band and have watched their YouTube videos a few times. This band is called, Cigar Hurt Babies. And I like them. A lot!
For anyone who doesn’t know me, I’ll just say that I if IDON’T like something, or DON’T believe it is worth mentioning, I won’t. I am cut and dry that way. Just saying. Enjoy!
