Hi Everyone,
Today is the first day of TIFF, the Toronto International Film Festival and I have to say that I am really excited. This is what I mean.
In my last blog I added a side note that I won TIFF tickets at the Pepsi Pop-Up Stand. I also got a couple free cans of Pepsi Next. For someone who drinks 3-4 cans of pop a year, I enjoyed the Pepsi Next. Who knows I may even buy a can or two this year. 😉 But here is the thing, I won those tickets before TIFF. That means that there was room to walk, time to talk and actually hear what people are saying. All of that is going to end today. And I know this because as I walked home from set, I decided to walk past the TIFF Light Box Building.
Just before 2:30 am I saw someone hurriedly walk into the TIFF building. I could feel the excitement starting when I saw him meet other people. So yes, there were people working away at the wee hours of the morning. That’s dedication and so cool!
See when you love movies and you work in film, you can appreciate all of the work that goes into giving everyone a great experience. Some of those experiences are life changing, and not just for the people watching our labour of love. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. And there is a lot of hard work that goes into giving everyone who goes to TIFF a great time. It is a movie lovers version of heaven on Earth.
If you have time to even read about TIFF please do. If you love movies go to the TIFF building and look for your favourite actor. They will most likely be there. TIFF is the largest film festival in the world. There will be crowds of people for ten days straight starting in a few hours as I am typing this at 4:50 am but it will be worth it. Crowds aren’t my thing BUT I am going to TIFF everyday day I can. That also means that if all I have time to do is walk by I will.

And on a side note, I would like to add that I am still waiting on something. If you are reading this, and I secretly hope you are, remember that question I asked about TIFF, etc. Have you heard anything. If the question mark worked on my laptop I would use it. Just saying.
Okay so this was not a rant. BUT I am actively working on rants. The next blog is almost done and it is about the government again so there’s your heads up.
Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
