Hi Everyone,
I wanted to add a link to a newspaper article I found in The Globe and Mail to Why Poverty Matters-2 Vac’s Link. The link worked yesterday but it doesn’t today. I guess they remove links after a period of time. đ
My original plan was to have the link to the newspaper article and ask you to read the article before you watched Vac’s short documentary if in case you haven’t already seen it. This is why?
In the newspaper article, it states that Vac approached the writer of the article several times over the course of years but the writer just didn’t have the time to talk to Vac. The writer also says that he thought Vac lived in the neighbourhood yet he didn’t know where.
I found this interesting because how many times do we as a society not make time to listen for a few minutes, or have a coffee with someone who is reaching out to us?
A LOT!
TOO OFTEN!
But the one thing that I really like about Vac was that he never gave up!
He walked the streets of Toronto because it was better than sitting in his four walls. He continued to make contact with people even when they did not reciprocate. When no one from his former employment seemed to care about him and when his friends stopped calling, Vac found the strength to, “Keep on keepin’ on”. After years of struggle his perseverance paid off!
If you search for, How Can A Warm Man Understand A Cold Man, you will find countless articles, blogs, videos, etc.
Here is the link.

If you haven’t already watched this short documentary of 4:57 minutes in length please do.
Vac also has a blog, I haven’t been able to find it but when I do I’ll let you know. Vac also writes for the Huffington Post.
Thank you for reading, A.Rebel’s Rant! ;D
