Hi Everyone,
Tonight is the long awaited season finale of Big Brother Canada. As I mentioned in my blog titled, Big Brother Canada, on March 1, 2013, I am a bit of a fan of the Big Brother franchise. (Here is the link, http://arebelsrant.com/big-brother-canada-d/ )
For the American version of Big Brother, I generally watch the first few episodes to feel out the House Guest, aka, cast. If they aren’t interesting then they are off my radar. In total, I believe that I have watched every episode of 3 of the 13 American versions. BUT, I have watched a lot of Big Brother Canada.
Not only have I watched every episode, I have also watched a few hours of their spin-off called, Big Brother After Dark. I mentioned this in another blog titled, Big Brother After Dark, (I know, not a very creative title) on March 12, 2013. (Here’s the link, http://arebelsrant.com/big-brother-after-dark/ ) A lot of scheming, manipulating and backstabbing went on during those early morning episodes.
If you are a fan of Big Brother, then you would know that the scheming, manipulating and backstabbing never ends. All are 24/7 for every second of every day that the House Guests, (or cast), are in the Big Brother and/or Jury House. That is the nature of the game.
So was I surprised to find out that Emmett, aka, The Milkman, was and still is, in the process of backstabbing his showmance, Jillian? Not at all. But Jillian was. Perhaps she still is. In last night’s episode it sounded like she (finally) clued into Emmett’s scheming, manipulating and backstabbing ways.
For a few seconds there she looked scared. Be afraid, Jillian. BE VERY, VERY AFRAID!!!
In my opinion, Emmett has been playing Jillian for a while now. That little showmance is now mostly show meaning he is showing his true character. As Suze Orman says, “When someone shows you (exactly) who they are, you better pay attention!” Of course, I have to add Harlan Ellison’s quote, “Pay attention, pay attention, pay attention!” Pay attention Jillian! Remember what Alec did to Topaz? Exactly! Boys will be boys! And boys are never men! Huge difference! At the end of the day, I think Emmett cares for Jillian. BUT, BUT in my opinion, he cares more, FAR, FAR more, about winning Big Brother Canada.
Let’s face it the first prize is $100,000 cash. Canadians don’t get taxed on their winnings, so $100,000 is exactly that. Plus the first prize winner gets a new vehicle, (sorry I can’t remember what it is) and a $20,000 gift card from a furniture store called, The Brick, (I think that’s it.) and the honour of being the first Big Brother Canada winner. That’s HUGE!
It’s no mystery to me why Emmett has been setting Jillian up for failure. It’s all in, The Script. And yes that is the title of another blog I wrote on, March 17, 2013. Of course, I also highly recommend that everyone, Canadian or not, ;D watch the season finale of Big Brother Canada tonight. It is two hours in length and it begins at 9 pm. For anyone who would like to watch last night’s episode, just tune into Slice at 8 pm. That’s the episode where Jillian reveals some of her thoughts via the Diary Room, aka, DR.
