Hi Everyone,
As an information junkie there is just some information that I absolutely refuse to verse myself on. One is drama! I HATE it! I HATE it so much that I refuse to participate in it in anyway and that includes discussing it.
Allowing any form of drama into my life is, to me, a complete and utter waste of my time! That is of course unless it is something I can and have the ability control. ;D
Since no one can control what anyone does, I go to great lengths to limit the amount of drama in my life but I fill that void by listening to some of The Real Housewives. Which of those I tune into is for me to know. But I will tell you this, it is not more than two.
I rarely sit down to watch any of The Real Housewives. If one of the ones that I allow some of my time to is on the TV and I remember, then I will have it on for background noise. This is what I mean.
Listening to The Real Housewives of… is my time to tidy up my apartment. I’ll do the dishes, sweep, put away laundry and anything else that needs to be done. Because some of the cast members are more entertaining than others, I have been known to stop what I am doing and watch their TV lives unfold.
If you have never seen any of The Real Housewives, here is the head’s up. Most of those women are portrayed to be strange, screwed up, and completely insane. And yes, the vast majority of what they say is scripted.
Although I have to admit, some of those feuding words sound just a little too real. Have you heard them cuss each other out? Wash those mouths out with soap! With mouths like that, even I have a hard time calling them women. ;D
I understand that The Real Housewives franchise is doing well, but really? Another one? Let me see, we have The Real Housewives of Orange County, New Jersey, Vancouver, New York, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, and now we have, Miami. That is seven. Clearly there is a strong viewership.
Tuesday night when I wanted something to get my mind off my day I discovered The Real Housewives of Miami. It is in its second season and I have never listened to it before.
Outside of a lot of screaming and yelling I have no idea what took place. My mind was elsewhere. But I will say this, for the times I mind did focus on the program, it was a great mental break and I needed that. Life sometimes has a way of draining us. If The Real Housewives is going to give me the mental break I need then so be it. Personally I think that is part of the success of the franchise.
Thank you for reading A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
