Hi Everyone,
So the ex and I have been speaking with each other and have been discussing a lot. You know the good, the bad, and the (very) ugly of our past, present and future. This is what people do when they get to be our age. Somehow older does really make one wiser, if they chose to be that is. 😉
Weighing the pros and cons of ones future is an interesting thing. In this case the pros are awesome, the cons, well clearly not so much. But somehow I took the pros and cons list to a whole new level. This is what I mean.
With every conversation I started a SWOT. For anyone who doesn’t know, a SWOT is something that businesses do and it stands for
S trengths
W eaknesses
O pportunities
T hreats
Now it really doesn’t take long to do a SWOT on a relationship especially if there is a history. Since we have a history my SWOT took very little time at all. I was really surprised by that. It was weird to recognize EXACTLY how much I have grown. I have really learned a lot about myself lately.
So I have decided that I am not going to settle. I know what I want in life. In fact, I have a print out of an email I sent to someone last January on my wall behind me as a reminder of EXACTLY what I want.
“There is a Mr. Wonderful out there who will put and keep me on a pedestal because I am a GREAT Woman who deserves only the best that he and life has to offer and that’s a lot!!!”
Sticking with the above may have me being single for a little while longer, oh but wait, it’s spring! Everyone is starting to be out and about. Mr. Wonderful and I could meet sooner than I thought. Whenever it happens, it happens. Either way, I’ve got both of my eyes locked on the prize. And the prize is Mr. Wonderful.
