Hi Everyone,
A few days ago I received a text message from a woman who thought she was texting Ian. Yesterday I received another text from the same woman. Since I would like someone to tell me that I had the wrong number I decided to text her that.
You know, the best way to explain this is for me just type out the text messages as they are in my cell phone. And I just want everyone to know that I don’t like cell phones at all. If I didn’t need one for work I wouldn’t have one. Just hearing my cell phone ring when someone calls or bing when I get a new text or email makes me cringe. So hearing my phone bing every few seconds really pissed me off. Here we go.
Her-Hey! I had 2 make a new account caus I got logged out of text plus and I couldn’t get back in
-Ian?????????
Her (yesterday)-Btw this is my new signature so u kno it’s me
-Her given and surname
Me-Hi, You have the wrong number.
Her-I do? Oh, I’m srry 2 have bothered u,plz forgive me
-Her given and surname
Me- 🙂
Her-Wait, aren’t you Joanne__________? (Joanne’s surname all in lowercase)
-Her given and surname
Me-No.
Her-U tricked me, didn’t u!!! Lol either way it’s ________(her given name), ur niece
-Her given and surname
Her-Ok, nvm srry
-Her given and surname
Me-__________(her given name) I am not kidding you. Please stop texting me or I will start blogging about you and you won’t like it.
Her-Okay, I’ll stop texting u. I guess I got the wrong number and plz don’t log about me and u’ll never hear from me again
(This time her signature is missing)
Me-Strange. I told you I would blog about you and STILL decided to text me. Hmmmmm. Don’t reply to this text, I am still deciding what to do BUT another text and my decision will be made.
She didn’t text me back and I haven’t heard from her since. Now do I feel bad about my text messages. NO! This is why.
Not only do I hate cell phones, was in the middle of making dinner, (something that I put off for hours) I also told her that she had the wrong number. If she was really sorry and wanted to me to forgive her why did she keep texting me? Yes, she didn’t know my feelings about cell phones or that I hadn’t eaten for hours. I know that. BUT she won’t stop even when she said she would.
And that got me thinking. Is the only way she understands anything is when someone has to threaten her? Does she keep pushing buttons until someone has do something drastic? Just how does she conduct her life when she is not texting strangers?
My conclusion is that she is not someone I would associate with and in my opinion she is lacking self-regulation.
