“… As A Coincidence.”

Hi Everyone.

Happy Sunday! The blog I had in mind for today was going to be a bit serious, so I am glad that this one came to me this morning. It is on the lighter side. This is what I mean.

There is a saying that, “There’s no such thing as a coincidence.” Some people like to think that things in their lives, like the people they meet, the things people say and the ideas they come up with are accidents. Okay. I get that. But what I want everyone to get is this; there really is no such thing as a coincidence. Everything really does happy for a reason. And yes that is another saying that is a twist on the above.

Incidence, as defined by Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary is defined as, The number of times something happens or develops: the rate at which something occurs. 1b) the arrival of something at the surface. 2a) an act of the fact or manner of falling upon or affecting.  Co means to work with, to help along. So is there such thing as coincidence? Not in my mind or the minds of anyone who believes in metaphysics. We believe that everything in our lives is working to take us to where we need to go.

There are things that each of us think, do, hear, see, read, dream and it is what we chose to do with that information, that has the ability to shape our lives for the better, or the worse; depending on how you want to look at things, depending on how we want to interpret our decisions. A great example of how coincidence was used is in the television show, Lost. It has all of the elements of, “There’s no such thing as coincidence,” and more.

For anyone who needs or wants more convincing that, there’s no such thing as a coincidence, here are a few quotes.

“We do not create our destiny; we participate in its unfolding. Synchronicity works as a catalyst toward the working out of that destiny.”
― David RichoThe Power of Coincidence: How Life Shows Us What We Need to Know

“The probability of a certain set of circumstances coming together in a meaningful (or tragic) way is so low that it simply cannot be considered mere coincidence.”
― V.C. King

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.”
― Albert EinsteinThe World As I See It

“It’s hard to believe in coincidence, but it’s even harder to believe in anything else.”
― John GreenWill Grayson, Will Grayson

To be clear, there are no accidents, there’s no such thing as a coincidence. That means that I called you from my cell and asked those questions for a reason. Years before I told you how it was going to play out. Don’t shot the messenger. If by chance you are not reading this sorry about your luck. I’ll email you in my usual manner. But hey, if you are “accidently” reading this, please think about what I told you. It will save you a lot of grief. _72 8601.

Today’s blog is a series of rants. If it is not clear to some readers, just read between the lines. They are all there. All anyone has to do is be open to what is before them.

Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
