Does Coupling Work?

Hi Everyone,

Hard to believe that in one month it will be Valentine’s Day. Yep! So if you didn’t have a honey for the holidays, or you had one you didn’t like as much and dumped them as soon as you could without looking like a schmuck, maybe you should start coupling. This is what I mean.

There is a universal law called coupling. It is the easiest thing to do and I’ve been doing it for years. All you have to do is buy two things instead of one. This is great for shopping. I also do things in twos which is a no brainer for errands. And I think in twos when I place things around my apartment. A lot of things are in twos.

Coupling also has some people going as far as placing a picture frame on their bedside table. Rather than having a picture in it though, they place a piece of paper in it that has a list of what they would like in their “other half”.  Other people have pictures of couples in their living spaces. It is even recommended to make room in your life for another person. This is done by having empty dresser drawers, room in closets and space on your bathroom vanity. I fail on the space on the bathroom vanity and some closet space, but I get a passing grade on some of the others. Picture frames excluded.

But the question still remains. Does coupling work? As I mentioned above I’ve been doing it for years. I’ve meet some pretty funky people since I started coupling. You know people I wouldn’t date or wouldn’t consider dating now.

Some people think I’m long in the tooth and I’m too picky. Well, I think we can all agree that life is easier with someone who is an asset to your life, then an asshole! Finding someone isn’t difficult. We all get hit on. So do I think that coupling works? I believe it does. Life is funny that way. Things happen. Up until a few days ago only one person outside of me knew. Now a select few do and I am keeping it that way.

If you are trying to find someone meaningful to share your life with, try coupling. It may take some time, but it’s sure to be worth it. Oh and if you are dating, or involved with someone who doesn’t have your best interests at heart, cut them loose. I am serious. There is no point in being in a dead end relationship. No one is getting any younger! Think about that. Happiness, which is directly connected to your overall well being, (physical, mental, and emotional), is worth so much more than being unhappy.
