Hi Everyone,
While I was out and about earlier today, I saw some people that I haven’t seen for a couple of weeks. When they asked me how I was doing I told them. After a few minutes of catching up on our lives the conversation took an interesting direction.
One of them said, “People can’t handle the truth. You have to sugar coat everything. ” Awestruck that someone else (finally) voiced what I had felt for so long, I nodded in agreement. As they continued, I simply nodded away. Knowing that I would have to say something eventually, I waited for a pause and said, “I know what you mean!!! You should read my blog!” Then I wrote my blog address on a piece of paper.
So if you are reading this blog, the book that I referred to can be found on my January 1, 2013 blog titled, Harlan Ellison, Dark Dreamers Part 3–My Thoughts. Here is the link, http://arebelsrant.com/harlan-ellison-dark-dreamers-part-3-my-thoughts/.
It is nice to know that I am not the only one who feels that everyone must sugar-coat everything and is willing to admit it! While we spoke, I figured out why I have allowed things to bother me. If people allow things to build up, by not expressing themselves, they can get worked up to point where they do not want to associate with people. Or very few people, like members of their family or a few close friends.
Everything really does happen for a reason! 😀 And the reason for me was to tell someone else how I felt and why, just so I could hear them tell me that they felt the same way too.
If you are reading this now, you missed a woman who was bundled up, huge, long, thick coat, hat and scarf, dressed for the Arctic minus the winter boots. She replaced them with a pair of flip-flops!!! I’m not kidding.
Oh yea, she’s an IDIOT!! She didn’t look like she could handle the truth so I don’t think that anyone has told her.
Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
