Hi Everyone,
Parts of Monday were draining and I needed to get back to that happy place I was at before I left my apartment. So I did what any woman in her right mind would do.
I sat on the couch, stared at the TV as I had a cigarette and regrouped. After that, I put on my favourite PJ’s courtesy of the Universe, (it’s still cold in this part of Canada) took off my make-up, exfoliated my face and put on my favourite face mask, courtesy of a former employer. Then I exfoliated my hands, courtesy of a former employer, put on piles of hand cream, (I actually bought that), waited a few minutes, added more hand cream, and put on cotton gloves, courtesy of another former employer. As a finishing touch, I scanned my fragrances.
Since I have over 40 bottles, ALL courtesy of former employers, I toyed with idea of spraying on Amor Amor, by Cacharel. It is one of my favourites but it is getting low so I decided to save it. My day was draining, not devastating! So I sprayed several fragrances in the air throughout my apartment. Still undecided, I started going through all of my samples, courtesy of former employers and fragrance friends. ;D That was overwhelming and went back to my fragrance bottles.
After a few minutes, I had boiled it down to two fragrances. Since they are both similar, I chose Mania, Eau De Parfum by Armani because, (fingers and toes crossed), it will ALWAYS be available! The other was a limited edition. 🙁 Once I had doused myself with Mania, I again sat on my couch, and thought, “I LOVE being a woman!”
We can get away with so much! What heterosexual man could get away with any of the above? NO man that would admit it!! And if I saw a man apply a face mask by himself, at home after any kind of a day I would question his masculinity on the spot. Any woman in her right mind would.
Men (should) know this and that is why they’ll have a drink, talk to their friends, drive their car faster than they should or whatever. But here’s the thing, women can do all of that and more!
If I want flowers, I’ll buy them! Straight men don’t buy flowers for themselves as a pick me up. If I want to eat chocolate, I do. Men don’t buy chocolates for themselves. It’s too “girlie”, men don’t want to be “girlie” they want to be MEN. Actually, now that I am on the topic, I had more chocolate covered almonds that I am willingly to state. But do you get my point? Women can do all the things that men do and more!
I LOVE being a woman! It’s like a license to indulge myself, pamper myself with any whim I want, any time I want and I do! What could be better than that? NOTHING!!!
Is this a rant? I guess it all depends.
