Hi Everyone,
People always say that they want to be happy and in love but so few ever do the small things that will get them HUGE results. This is what I mean.
Everyone loves to hear genuine compliments BUT hardly anyone gives them! I know that I always feel great when I get a genuine compliment. It makes me smile and brightens my day. I try to compliment people whenever I can because it makes me feel good too. Compliments show that you CARED enough to NOTICE something about someone else.
And I know that there are some people that are harder to give genuine compliments to than others but there is always something positive that we could say. Hitler loved dogs.
Another thing that, in my opinion, people don’t do enough of is say, “Thank you.” Saying thanks is like, “I kind of care but not enough to say thank you because saying thank you is just too much effort, so I’ll just say thanks.” But if someone does say thanks it is far better than nothing!
Being grateful is another thing that, in my opinion, people don’t do enough of. Sometimes I look at people and think, “You know there are people out there who have it far worse than you. You should be grateful!” And then I get away from them before I have time to tell them how stupid and selfish they are.
AND, AND, so many people are ungrateful for their good or great relationships! If you don’t like it then leave! Or read chapter 10 of, Feel the Fear…And Do It Anyway, by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D. Some people need to see just how ungrateful they truly are! This blog is to say that, if you want to have a Happy Valentine’s Day with whomever, and have a happy life, do more of the above. These small things get HUGE results.
