Why We Should Care More About Water

Hi Everyone,

Pundits all over the world have been saying for years that water is the new oil. I agree. We, as a society, can always find ways new or different ways to reduce our oil consumption, but water is water. It is irreplaceable, thereby, making it invaluable. Water is going to be a commodity sooner than anyone thinks.

If you would like to learn more about this, I have provided two links that pertain to water and one that, I thought I should be including because it states that, Last Call At The Oasis, has incorrect information.

The first link is called, Last Call At The Oasis. It is 99:24 minutes,

The producers of this documentary also produced, An Inconvenient Truth, and, Food Inc. In the near future, I will be added links re: food and I will try to get the Food Inc, link. ;D

The second link is from, The Corporation. I have already posted this link in my blog, titled, The Corporation Links, dated December 20, 2012. (Here’s the link, http://arebelsrant.com/the-corporation-links-d/)

That blog included all three, The Corporation, links. This morning, I rewatched/relistened to the episode that I am including in this blog from my blog post so those links still work. 🙂 Bear with me, because there is a reason I have decided to include it today. ;D

If you have already seen that video and do not want to watch/listen to the whole thing, then watch the first few minutes and forward it to 50:35 of the 57:(?) minutes.

Here is the link for, Last Call At The Oasis,

Here is the link for, The Corporation,

And last but not least, here is the link for, Saving The Oasis,

The above link has three videos that I watched this morning. All of the videos are under 6:25 minutes.

As I mentioned above, I do believe that water will become a commodity sooner than we, as a society, would like to believe. With that said, I am encouraging everyone who reads this blog, to be mindful of the amount of water that we and the people that we know use and at times, misuse.

Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
