Being An Information Junkie Can Be Stressful! :(

Hi Everyone,

If you read, About A. Rebel, or, Why Poverty Matters, then you would know that I am an information junkie. Like I said in, About A. Rebel, I research anything but war.

This started when I was about 9 or 10 years of age, with 60 Minutes. All it took was one episode and I was hooked. From then on, I made a point of watching it every Sunday because it was that important to me. During football season if an episode was delayed, because of the game, I would sit up and watch the football game just so I wouldn’t miss an episode of 60 Minutes.

At that age, I was also an avid reader of anything I could get my hands on. Information has been my friend, and at times, like today, my foe.

Last night, I remembered something that I wanted to add to my last post and didn’t. That has been on my mind pretty much all day. So look for that sometime this week because today has been like an information marathon. And that’s why being an information junkie can be stressful.

Today was the worst in months. Just trying to get every show into my day, and timing my shower is worse than my rationing my cigarettes and I’m chain smoker! And of course, I smoke more when I’m stressed because that’s what smokers do. ;D

But the thing that pisses me off is how people use only one source for their information! Or WORSE, they don’t utilize ANY information that is available to them–even if it is free! Like the Internet at the library.

I watch, read, or go online to research any and everything all the time. That’s when it gets stressful. Using more than one source is enlightening yet it is also time consuming. Today was no different. At least my poison of choice has an upside. ;D

Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
