I Hate Being Inconvenienced When I’m Sick

Hi Everyone,

For the last several days, I’ve been pretty sick with a cold. As you know, colds can be tricky. Either you get one and can suffer through it, or it leaves you housebound. I was housebound. It’s a good thing I was prepared though. ;D

Here is what I call the inventory

1) A variety of small and large cans of soup, packaged and frozen soups

2) Four cans of frozen orange juice and 24 orange juice boxes which are left at room temperature

3) Several bags of cough drops, all in different flavours

4) A few packages of extra strength lemon powdered cough relief

5) Vitamin C tablets

6) At least one full box of facial tissues

7) A variety of teas

8) Nasal Decongestant

9) Two bags of Epsom Salts in different scents

10) Extra bedding with additional pillow cases

Did I mind having a cold? Not really. I mean, the first 2-3 days are a bit hazy and I did the absolute minimum. Yesterday started off pretty well as I was on my way to accomplishing a lot. Too bad I faded fast and napped 2-3 times. I did the dishes in between naps so that was good.

I remembered that I forgot to mention in my Judge Judy blog that I’ve been following her career for years via interviews. And last night I told my daughter that she HAD to do something. Thankfully she knows I have a cold. And yes, I do know that I blogged about that yesterday, that’s why I mentioned it. ;D  (Here’s the link to that blog, http://arebelsrant.com/sharing-information/  )

My child is GREAT. Too bad I can’t say that for every child/parent that I know as I have had other issues to deal with, hence yesterday’s blog. Anyway….

Overall my having a cold would have been hell, had I not been prepared. Fortunately I had everything I needed and wanted for any need, want or whim. Everyone needs that sense of comfort whether their feeling well or not.

It doesn’t take a lot of time, money or energy to prepare ourselves for our most basic needs. I live by all the amenities and can walk to anything I need in less than 7 minutes but I was still prepared.

Is this a rant? If you are not prepared it is a polite one. Here is link to, I HATE To Be Inconvenienced!, http://arebelsrant.com/i-hate-to-be-inconvenienced/

Thank you for reading, A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
