The Meanings of LOVE… ;D

Hi Everyone,

If you read yesterday’s blog then this blog will make sense. If you haven’t read it then here’s the link,  http://arebelsrant.com/my-speaking-with-my-ex/

Okay, there are a few definitions for the word love. Here is one from an online dictionary, 2) attraction based on sexual desire: affection and tenderness felt by lovers.

Because my Ex was and still is a sensitive man, we have shared A LOT of affection and tenderness. The above definition defines us perfectly. From the moment I met him, my life changed forever. If it wasn’t love at first sight it was pretty darn close.

One thing I can honestly say is that, my Ex and I are very practical people. We have discussed a lot of things, including all of the good, bad and (very) ugly aspects of our past, present and future together. And I am still undecided. In fact I have been this way for longer than I would like to admit. (Here’s a link to a blog I posted called Mr. Wonderful and it explains a lot, http://arebelsrant.com/mr-wonderful/)

Hands down he was my first GREAT LOVE. That will never change. No one can turn back the hands of time. And I still love him. BUT, BUT the BIGGER question is, am I still IN LOVE with him? Sometimes.

Unfortunately, sometimes does not equal all the time. I WANT and NEED to be IN LOVE all the time. I am a GREAT woman with a lot to offer. I am also fully aware of what could happen if he personally delivered my favourite flowers to me at my apartment.

You see when women love someone (I am going to use a heterosexual relationship here) they think differently after they have had sex. They get all, “Oh, the world is perfect, I am so happy… etc.” And their brains can leave the building before their bodies do. Seriously. I have researched this.

Now since I know the above has been scientifically proven, I have combined science with (my) real life experiences. That is why, I am let’s say, cautious. If you read my blog, What Drives You Crazy? (here is the link, http://arebelsrant.com/what-drives-you-crazy/) then you would know EXACTLY what I mean.

Now there is another meaning to the word LOVE and it is,

L egs

O pen

V ery

E asily

And that is exactly what women can do when they love someone. BUT, BUT, the BIGGER question is, are they, am I, IN LOVE. Because there is VAST difference between still loving someone and being in love with someone. That is still what I am trying to figure out.

Besides, if I really want flowers, I’ll buy them. I LOVE being a woman. No one bats an eye-lash when we buy flowers, chocolate or whatever we want. It’s a freedom I love and will never give up.

Thank you for reading A. Rebel’s Rant! ;D
